USAF Thunderbolt II Aircraft Take Part in Exercises

The USAF has conducted a four-ship training mission with A-10 Thunderbolt II combat aircraft as part of the Cope Tiger 2010multilateral exercise.

The four A-10s based out of Osan Air Base, South Korea, performed a basic surface attack mission with simulated weapons at the Nam Phong Range in Thailand.

Cope Tiger 2010 includes participation from the US Air Force, Royal Thai Air Force and Army, and Republic of Singapore Air Force.

The US participation is led by the 13th Air Force at Joint Base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on behalf of Pacific Air Forces.

The exercise is taking place at Korat and Udon Thani Royal Thai Air Force bases in Thailand until 12 March 2010.
