BAE Systems Awarded Singapore Air Force Contract

26 February 2010

The Singapore Defence, Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) has awarded a contract to BAE Systems, to continue its air grading services with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF).

Under the $8.2m contract, BAE Systems will provide aircraft, facilities and support services to the RSAF, to enable the air force to conduct air grading activities.

The five-year contract with the option to extend is a continuation of the existing RSAF air grading contract, according to australiandefence.com.au.

The air grading services contract began on 1 January 2010.

BAE Systems Aviation Solutions has been providing primary service to the RSAF since 1999.

The DSTA is a statutory board set up under Singapore's Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). It provides leading-edge technological solutions to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), which include the Singapore Army, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN).
