The Brazilian Air Force has moved closer to securing a deal for Russian attack helicopters by completing a critical design review (CDR).
The Brazilian Air Force has signed a contract to purchase 12 Mi-35m helicopters and a flight simulator from Russia. Deliveries are expected to begin at the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010.
The CDR was conducted in Russia in two phases following the preliminary design review in April 2009.
