Airbus Military Polska has signed a contract to develop and equip Polish Air Force Orlik TC II trainer aircraft with a glass cockpit.

This cockpit upgrade will reduce pilot workload and improve the safety and efficiency of flight operations.

Under terms of the agreement signed with the Technical Institute of Aviation Military Forces (ITWL), the glass cockpit development will take place at the Airbus Military Polska facility in Warsaw, Poland.

The Orlik TC II is an advanced variant of the TC I with improved wing, engine and avionics.

The Polish Air Force currently operates 28 Orlik single-engine, two-seat trainer aircraft.
