A new stealth fighter aircraft will enter service with the Russian Air Force in 2014-2015, air force commander-in-chief General Alexander Zelin has said.

“We will receive a T-50 prototype in 2013. Mass-produced aircraft will not arrive until 2014-2015,” he added.

The Sukhoi T-50, which is also referred to as the PAK FA, is being developed in partnership with India.

The jet made its first public appearance at the MAKS-2011 air show while the fighter completed its maiden flight in the Russian Far East last year, according to RIA Novosti.
