CAE Australia has been awarded a simulator training contract to provide aircrew training services for the new KC-30A air-to-air refuelling tanker, minister for Defence Materiel Jason Clare said.

Under the estimated $20m contract, the company will provide ground maintenance and support to the simulator at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Amberley, Australia.

The latest contract is an extension of the company’s existing contract with the Defence Materiel for the management and support of the Australian Defence Forces (ADF) Aerospace Simulators.

The company is already under a contract to provide management and support to 15 ADF training devices and simulators across the country.

On-site support services will be provided between 2012 and 2018.
