Definition:
Aircraft device that is designed to detect incoming radar signals, identify and characterize these signals to a specific threat, and alert the aircrew. Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) detects a broad range of incoming radar signals, identifies and characterizes the probable source as a specific friend or threat.
