Flying fraudulently – how a weak supply chain became the USAF's worst enemy



In September 2011, Raytheon reported that suspected counterfeit parts had been installed on three Electromagnetic Interference Filters – part of the aircraft's Forward Looking InfrRed system; although it is not flight safety critical, an SH-60B cannot use its 'Hellfire' missiles without it.
