DARPA's Vulture programme is developing an unmanned aircraft capable of remaining on-station uninterrupted for over five years. Half of DARPA's budget covers basic research, with the other half going toward 6.3 activities. Ironically, DARPA consistently underspends its budget, to the dismay of Congress.
