US Air Force Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Plan 2009-2047

09 March 2010

The USAF unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) flight plan 2009 to 2047 deals with the plans the USAF has undertaken to maximise the capabilities it provides to the joint force with the help of UASs.

The USAF aims to harness increasingly automated, modular, globally, connected, and sustainable multimission unmanned systems, to transform itself into more adaptable and efficient air force.

The paper highlights the features, capabilities and uniqueness of small man-portable vehicles, micro and nano-sized vehicles, medium fighter-sized vehicles, large tanker-sized vehicles and special vehicles.

The present and anticipated future requirements from the Combatant Command, Office of the Secretary of Defense and other services are reviewed.
