CREW-UTILISED AIRCRAFT WEAPONS

FN HERSTAL's range of crew-utilised aircraft weapons includes a 7.62mm and a .50Cal machine gun. These aircraft weapons can be installed either externally, on floors, or in windows. FN HERSTAL also supplies the interfaces (such as pintles), design, installation and integration of these in helicopters and aircraft.

MM3 .50 CAL MACHINE-GUN AND MPH-MOUNT

The accuracy and high firing-rate (1,100rpm) of the MM3 .50 Cal machine-gun, when combined with the exceptional advantages of the MPH-mount which is developed for airborne application (such as outstanding balance, light weight, recoil attenuation, wide-angle of operation), offers the servant the key to mission success.

HELICOPTER AND SUBSONIC AIRCRAFT ROCKET LAUNCHERS

FN HERSTAL provides a full range of rocket launchers: seven to 12 or 19 tubes for helicopters, and seven and 19 tubes for subsonic aircraft. Thanks to the standard NATO suspension lugs, all launchers benefit from a very rapid installation / removal time. They can also be installed even on very light aircraft, because of their reduced weight.

ROCKET LAUNCHER AND HEAVY MACHINE-GUN PODS (HMPs)

FN HERSTAL produces Heavy Machine-gun Pods (HMPs) and combined rocket launcher and machine-gun pods. These are independent units housing a .50Cal M3P machine-gun, and have a capacity of up to 400 rounds (HMP-400).

MP3 MACHINE-GUNS AND HMP-400 PODS - IDEAL FOR SHORT COMBAT RANGES

The high rate of fire (1,100rpm per pod) of the MP3 machine-gun makes HMP-400 pods the ideal armament for short combat ranges where target acquisition time is reduced.

TMP-5 HEAVY MACHINE-GUN POD

Also available is the TMP-5, a pod featuring twin 7.62 NATO machine-guns which provide accurate, suppressive, and defensive fire against troops and fast-moving convoys up to 1,000m away.

7.62 AND .50 CAL MACHINE GUN AMMUNITION

FN HERSTAL has developed a complete range of 7.62 and .50 Cal machine gun ammunition rounds. These can be mixed on-belt to meet the specific needs of the type of mission involved.

ARMOUR-PIERCING EXPLOSIVE INCENDIARY (APEI) AMMUNITION

The most effective use of the M3M and M3P machine-guns' high rate of fire is achieved when coupled to the devastating effects of Armour-Piercing Explosive Incendiary (APEI) ammunition.
