LONGBOW COCKPIT PROCEDURAL TRAINER (LCPT)The US Army had a requirement for a compact, portable device that could be used for classroom and field training in the use of pilot and co-pilot cockpit controls. ASI designed and manufactured the Longbow Cockpit Procedural Trainer (LCPT). Pilot and co-pilot units have been manufactured using software developed by Logistics Services International (LSI). Units have been delivered to Ft. Rucker, AL to be evaluated for use at US Army bases and remote sites where the Longbow is deployed. The devices use actual aircraft grips and controls to interface through the computer to touch screens that provide simulated keyboard, MPD, UFD and TEDAC responses.
