CONTROP’s STAMP Stabilised Miniature Payloads Successfully Integrated with MicroPilot's Autopilot Systems

15 July 2008

CONTROP Precision Technologies and MicroPilot are proud to announce the successful integration of MicroPilot's line of autopilot systems with CONTROP's STAMP stabilised miniature payloads. CONTROP's STAMP payloads are miniature, lightweight, electro-optical, stabilized, airborne sensors which provide small UAVs with the image quality of large UAV payloads, by day and by night. MicroPilot is a world leader in miniature autopilots for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and micro aerial vehicles (MAVs).

The STAMP payloads are successfully flying on a variety of different mini UAVs worldwide. Now they can be integrated with the MicroPilot autopilots to provide an optimally compatible system for complete customer ease and satisfaction.

Debuted for the first time at AUVSI 2008 in San Diego and EUROSATORY 2008 in Paris France, the new U-STAMP-Z has an un-cooled infrared camera with a X4 continuous optical zoom lens providing optimal use during night conditions. Also in the STAMP family of payloads are the D-STAMP, a daylight stabilised miniature payload with a CCD X10 continuous optical zoom lens weighing only 750g, and the U-STAMP (which has an un-cooled infrared camera with a fixed field of view). Other STAMP payloads have also been successfully integrated with the MicroPilot line of autopilot systems to the complete satisfaction of both companies.
