Laserdyne Technologies specialises in rugged flat panel display, solid-state video recorders, and digital laser rangefinders for military and paramilitary land, sea, and air applications throughout the world. All Laserdyne products are ruggedised, featuring tough and robust construction, housings machined from solid billet, resistant finishes, protected against weather and extreme temperatures, and vibration and shock proof. Rangefinding systemsRangePRO are a range of compact and stand-alone OEM modules, and hand-held model range finders featuring ranging rates varying from single shot to 20+Hz, and range capabilities from 2km to 30km. RangePRO’s unique digital rangefinding techniques extract more useful data from a single ranging pulse than any other method on the market today. Multiple target detection allows for true multiple targeting solutions - range gating is optional but unnecessary, range data is returned for any selected target. Real returns can be identified and extracted even under conditions that result in low signal-to-noise ratios. RangePRO rangefinders employ compact, reliable laser modules - the subsystem in any laser rangefinder which dictates the ultimate system reliability. RangePROs use on a miniature, ultra-reliable, flashlamp pumped type for single shot to 1Hz operation; and a diode-laser pumped type for repeat-pulse applications. Rugged flat panel monitorsAvailable in both standard and multi-functional models, the Black Opal range of flat panel displays are amongst the most rugged on the market. Sizes range from 6.4In to 19In, and supprted resolutions include VGA and SXGA with a high definition option for higher resolution models. The Black Opal monitor features an adjustable day mode for use in full direct sunlight and an adjustable night mode available in red for covert night operations and dark-adapted eyes, or green for compatibility with night vission goggles. Tough antireflection window coatings further enhance readability. Black Opal facilitates multiple inputs and up to five or more screen presentations, with simultaneous display of up to two video and one PC [analogue RGB] inputs. Black Opal flat panels offer an unparrallelled range of visual interface features, inluding:
Security and monitoring video recordersMemorEyes is a solid-state digital video recorder for intelligence-gathering operations such as military and police surveillance, monitoring, and evidence acquisition. Memoreyes features onboard controls, a simple graphic user interface (GUI), and total user-friendliness - only three buttons are required to perform any function in any mode. Memoreyes also includes a comprehensive Web-page interface, allowing users to configure parameters to their preferences via a PC. Memoreyes may be installed in series with or parallel to Black Opal, other brands of display (depending upon features), or stand-alone (on-board control allow for completely independent operation). MemorEyes can store more than three hours of footage at full frame-rate and highest quality (lowest compression) setting. The recorder's MJPEG2000 scheme treats video as a sequence of still frames, each encoded as a whole, rather than a series of tiles or blocks. This makes MemorEyes ideally suited to surveillance applications, where stills may be needed to recover critical information such as licence plates and faces. Video foorage is stored in convenient files for download selectively or entirely, with no frames lost between files. "Event" marking features can be used to identify files of critical interest. Memoreyes features a compact, removable solid state storage device. Alternative storage destination with half the capacity of internal medium, allows quick swap-out for mission continuity, |
