Doncasters Flies In New Aerospace Castings Appointment

The Doncasters Group Ltd, a leading global manufacturer of precision components and assemblies for the aerospace industry, has announced the appointment of Mike Samuel as Strategic Business Unit Director with responsibility for Aerospace Castings.
In this new position, Mike will be responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of aerospace castings manufacturing at Doncasters’ Chard and Settas sites and promoting best practice.
Mike joins Doncasters from Honeywell in Yeovil, where as MD, his key achievements included generating a turnover of £110m, the successful integration of the Hymatic business and increasing on time deliveries from below 60% to over 97%. Mike also has over 15 years’ experience in both operational and commercial roles within tier one, high volume automotive components manufacturing.
Mike Samuel said of his appointment: “I’m looking forward to achieving the full operational potential of the Aerospace Castings Strategic Business Unit and driving performance levels to provide customers with service excellence.”

Mike Samuel is 53 and holds a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering, a Diploma in Management Studies and an HND in Product Management. He was born in Wales , is married with two children and is a keen motor sports enthusiast.
