C4i - Switchplus Based Command, Control and Communication SystemsC4i is an experienced turnkey communication systems supplier, integrator and maintainer of communication, command and control systems for defence (airforce, army and navy) and civilian customers around the world. C4i has in-house hardware and software design, development and manufacturing capability. Our base product is the Switchplus® digital voice and data switch which has been used in applications such as:
SWITCHPLUS DIGITAL VOICE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMThe Switchplus Voice Communications Systems (VCS) consist of two main elements, the Switchplus digital voice and data switch and a touchscreen based Human Machine Interface (HMI) with customisable Graphical User Interface (GUI). These are coupled to communication equipment, such as radios, PABXs, intercoms and direct telephones, to form total communications systems. The switch provides the core technology for the C4i product range. The C4i developed switch has an open systems architecture, using industry standard interfaces and protocols such as X.21, X.25, G.703, Fast and Gigabit Ethernet, ETSI, CAS, QSIG, ISDN, DPNSS and TETRA and supports VOIP and TDM Over IP. This allows for distributed architecture that places the correct equipment in the correct location to achieve an efficient cost effective solution. The implementation of radio communications specific commands, such as individual PTT, carrier-detect indication, main/standby changeover, retransmission, voting and remote control, are core features of the product. With its modular design, Switchplus can be configured for small to large (ie up to 1,000 operators, 2,000 party conferences and control of 200 plus radios) communications systems that provide a variety of communications features and a wide range of analogue and digital interfaces to choose from. The ruggedised version of Switchplus is suitable for use in transportable defence applications and has been designed and tested to MIL-STD-810E and MIL-STD-167 for shock and vibration as well as to MIL-STD-461/462 for EMI/EMC. C2AT VOICE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS FOR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLThe Switchplus C2AT VCS is an advanced digital voice communications system designed specifically for air traffic control. The primary focus of the system is reliability and ease of use for both operators and maintenance personnel. Standard features include:
SECURE CONFERENCE SYSTEMThe Switchplus Secure Conference System (SSCS) overcomes the limitation of point-to-point encrypted calls by providing customers with the ability to conference validated users of point-to-point encryption devices into any combination of user defined conferences. The system provides audio announcements as parties enter and leave conferences, verification of security levels and user-defined conferencing. Additionally, operators within a secure enclave can be provided the ability to join conferences with geographically distributed end users providing maximum flexibility for secure conferences. The SSCS will work with numerous cryptographic devices including CONDOR, KY-57, KY-100, OMNI, Sectéra® Wireline and Wireless, STE-R and STU-III. REMOTE RADIO CONTROL AND MONITORINGC4i has a fully developed software library supporting the remote control and monitoring of multi-vendor radio equipment and accessories at manned or unmanned sites through PC based System Management Facility (SMF) or alternatively integrated on the operator touchscreen of a corresponding Switchplus system. C4i has experience with leading radio manufacturers' equipment, including Park Air, Rockwell Collins, Rohde & Schwarz and Sunair, and is continually building the software library with other manufacturers' protocols.
