Micreo - Airborne EW Receiver Components and Sub Systems

Micreo designs and manufactures products for some of the world’s most advanced aircraft EW and Radar systems, specialising in the microwave sensors and transmitter sub systems. Our customers include the world’s foremost aerospace companies and our products are included in some of the world’s most prestigious programs. The Company is certified to ISO9001 and employs 60 people, including 12 experienced design engineers.

Innovative technologies and new products

Products include frequency converters, local oscillator systems, switched filters and amplifiers used in EW systems. These products are produced in response to customers’ unique requirements or as standard products from our catalogue. Micreo has introduced key new technologies, including:

• Use of optical fibre to transfer or process signals from 0.5 to 40GHz, whilst maintaining dynamic range and noise figure requirements, including on-fibre processing and filtering. This enables better EW system performance and reduced size and complexity. Micreo packages photonic components to meet the extended temperature range and vibration requirements of airborne systems
• Solid state power amplifiers such as 4W, 6-18GHz and 2W, 30-40GHz, utilising either GaAs or GaN semiconductors. More powerful units are in development
• Phased array elements for transmit and receive systems, including phase and amplitude controllers with exceptional performance
