TenCate Advanced Armour - Aircraft Armour

Aircraft armour solutions are tailor-made to meet user requirements for either permanent integration into the structure of new aircraft or for add-on protection for existing aircraft. This kind of protection is designed to enhance the survivability of both aircraft and crew.

This protection technology includes a wide range of optional equipment to meet customer requirements for either permanent mounting or protection kits that can quickly be added and removed as and when required. Customised solutions are available to meet specific requirements and specific types of aircraft.

Lightweight aircraft armour

Minimum weight, maximum protection in protecting aircraft, every kilogram of weight matters, because of the effect on payload. Advanced aircraft armour is therefore designed to provide maximum protection with only a minimum of weight. This is achieved by using the most lightweight materials currently available such as TenCate Liba® CX or TenCate Ceratego™ CX.

The solutions result in a high multi-hit capability, protecting the aircraft against the effects of being hit by multiple projectiles or fragments.
