Activities in the aeronautical industry started in 2000, transferring earlier knowledge and expertise in automatic test systems. EIIT has become a reputed supplier for most EADS divisions, including Airbus Military, Cassidian and Eurocopter.
EIIT's core business in aeronautics is the development of test benches that are classified as software test benches, integration RIGS and trainer facilities.
We have produced these benches for projects in many different countries; for example, for maritime patrols missions and support centers for NH90 and TIGER Helicopters and Eurofighter. Training facilities for the crew of these aircrafts have also been implemented.
EIIT has also collaborated on software test benches and integration RIGS for the Spanish UA/V Atlante programme.
The main tasks in these projects are: signals and power design, mechanical and ergonomic design for subassemblies and operator consoles, assembly of subsystems and cabinets, manufacturing of harnesses, continuity and isolation tests, functional tests including ARINC429 and MIL1553-B buses tests, final configuration in customer facilities and post-sales support.
Several systems used as production tools for the A400M FAL in Seville have been delivered. Among these projects there is a group of 39 aircraft interface modules to simulate, configure and monitor aircraft signals. Other projects are an A/C battery simulation subsystem, the antiskid test tool or the BRAIM, hydraulic control system for the bleeding of the brake liquid (Skydrol).
Our engineering department has developed and delivered special test systems for aerospace and military projects, where state-of-the-art technology gets the best results.
Engineering teams are working for Metheosat Third Generation (MTG), developing and providing software and hardware test systems for the digital processing unit test equipment (DPU-TE) located in the infraRed sounder (IRS) instrument of the MTG, where continuous high speed digital video streaming above 1.5Gbps must be generated, received, stored, multiplexed and managed quickly without loss of information.
Software and hardware solutions with special test fixtures and systems for Standar Missile Systems have been developed and delivered.
