MIL-STD-1553 DATABUS NETWORK TEST KIT

The Mil-Std-1553 Databus Network Test Kit allows users to detect and isolate wiring faults on any aircraft with a databus harness system.

The kit includes a S2476N Databus Network / Harness Tester, aircraft-specific interconnect leads to connect the tester to the aircraft of choice, consumable spares, a databus repair kit, technical publications and a transit case. Additional options include a calibration kit and an ARINC 429 Protocol Tester.

The Databus Network / Harness Tester isolates all common wiring faults (short circuits, shorts to shield, open circuits and cross-overs, etc.) on any aircraft with a databus harness system.

It records insertion loss between any two stubs in dBs. It is simple to operate, with no need to disconnect the main bus, and comes with an integral battery charger. Lightweight and ruggedised, it is ideal for one-man operation.

The S2476N is also the only tester on the market that can footprint a 1553 databus, allowing users to monitor system integrity and schedule preventative maintenance.

FUEL SYSTEM TEST SET

The DE8490 Fuel System Test Set can be used on any aircraft with capacitance probe technology.

The DE8490 is unique in being the only microprocessor-driven fuel system test set. It takes measurements and calculates pass / fail limits automatically and so eliminates operator error. It also allows users to download data to a PC for diagnostic purposes and trend analysis.

The test set is operated via menu-driven software. It is remarkably simple to use and reduces test time by around 50% compared with manually-driven testers. It is self-calibrating and can be powered from any mains AC supply, aircraft DC supply or its rechargeable internal battery. Connection to the aircraft can be achieved via lead sets and a multipin connector, or by using co-axial cables.

Specifically designed as ruggedised, portable ground support equipment for use at operational level, the Fuel System Test Set is a simple, accurate and reliable maintenance tool.

FILTER TEST SET FOR EMC COMPLIANCE

The TE6291 Filter Test Set measures the electrical performance of filters without the need to dismantle any equipment.

The test set is a powerful maintenance tool because detecting and replacing damaged or degraded filters ensures that LRUs are protected from electromagnetic interference. This allows the aircraft to remain operational and to meet necessary clearance standards.

The TE6291 measures insertion loss from one side of the connector only. It records unserviceable and degraded filters and records all measurements for trend analysis.

The test set can be used on any single section low pass filter.

DIGITAL AVIONICS ARINC 429 PROTOCOL TESTER

The DE3300B avionics ARINC 429 protocol tester tests whether 429 data is being transmitted / received correctly. It offers the power of a complex protocol analyser with the versatility of a ruggedised, portable tester and is designed for use at all levels; in development, production and ground support.
