Despite the rain and wind, February has been a month of optimism and increased activity for the manufacturers we represent, including those who have just introduced some brand new technology at Embedded World 2014. With a number of existing projects gaining momentum, and a host of new applications in the development stage, the next quarter looks bright even if the weather doesn't!

Condor 4000x - high-performance XMC graphics card with GPGPU capability

The Condor 4000x from Tech Source is a cutting edge XMC graphics/video card for use in applications such as radar and video surveillance.

Based on AMD's Radeon E8860 GPU, which provides 1.6 times the performance of the E6760 GPU, the Condor 4000x has digital (DVI, Display-Port) and analog (VGA) video outputs available from the front panel, and the rear PMC pin-out is compatible with VME and cPCI single board computers (VPX can be supported through a carrier board).

Supported by the industry standard OpenCLâ„¢ programming language, GPGPU application software development is accelerated with the AMD APP Software Development Kit (SDK).

AXEL LITE - Single/Dual/Quad Core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU module

Introduced at embedded world 2014, AXEL LITE is the new Single-Dual-Quad Core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU module from DAVE Embedded Systems, based on the recent Freescale i.MX6 application processor.
The AXEL LITE is ideal for new applications in many industry ?elds, where high performance and extremely compact form factor (67,5 mm x 45 mm) are key factors.

MIL-Series Data Acquisition and Control Chassis from United Electronic Industries

UEI's brand new DNA-MIL and DNR-MIL platforms are compliant with many aspects of MIL-STD-461 (including all power-supply requirements) and MIL-STD-810, making them perfect for environmentally harsh I/O data acquisition and control applications.
