Alberto González Bassett Joins the Team

Sarsen is pleased to welcome Alberto González Bassett to the team as our new Field Applications Engineer. He will be providing engineering and technical support to key accounts in the military, instrumentation, transportation and aerospace sectors.
Alberto started his engineering career with Aries Ingeniería y Sistemas, Madrid, working closely with manufacturers such as North Atlantic and Iotech. He holds an MEng in Industrial Engineering from ETSII Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) specialising in Automatic Engineering and Industrial Electronics.

Flight Qualified Intel® Core™ i7-Based Multiprocessor 3U OpenVPX COTS System

The XPand4208 from Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is a high-performance, expandable computing and networking platform for environmentally demanding, SWaP-restricted avionics and vetronics applications.

The XPand4208 includes two Intel Core i7-based 3U VPX modules, an XPm2120 VITA 62 3U VPX power supply, and two XPort6193 removable SSDs that allow for quick, toolless insertion and extraction. The system utilises an XChange3013 3U VPX Gigabit Ethernet switch mated with the XPedite5205 Cisco IOS-based router XMC to provide its backplane fabric and secure networking capabilities.

The ZX2000’s unique design provides 6 payload slots in a 5U ATCA chassis. The ZX2000 switching environments delivers the highest ratio of Ethernet Ingress capacity to backplane capacity in any ATCA chassis. The 10G platform provides 60G of Ethernet Ingress for a 60G backplane, and the 40G platform provides 160G of Ethernet Ingress for a 240G backplane.
