Hybricon products have been deployed on the Apache attack helicopter; F-16, F/A-22 and F35 fighter aircraft; the E-2C Hawkeye, E-3, EA-6B Prowler, Global Hawk, P-3 Orion, ASTOR, and U-2 surveillance aircraft; and the C-130J Hercules and Boeing 767 tanker transport aircraft.

MIXED CONDUCTION-CONVECTION LIQUID COOLED ATR AIRBORNE CHASSIS

This custom liquid cooled ATR chassis was designed by Hybricon for integration into an airborne reconnaissance system. The two-in-one chassis includes two custom VME64x backplanes, each with dedicated I/O, that are air-cooled via a liquid heat exchanger, coupled with a conduction cooled power supply via a liquid cold-plate, and integrated air-cooled boards. Hybricon performed extensive thermal simulation to come up with an innovative cooling design that combines air, conduction and liquid cooling to ensure performance over a challenging environmental range using COTS payload.

AIRBORNE AIR COOLED ATR

This single board computer ATR designed by Hybricon provides gimbal control for an airborne weapons system. It features 3/4 ATR mechanical configuration, custom VME64x backplane with I/O from J2 and P0, front panel I/O and is forced air convection-cooled with internal high-altitude fans.

MIXED CONVECTION-CONDUCTION COOLED GROUND RADAR SYSTEM

This Hybricon designed ruggedized chassis is used in the electronics pod of a surface-to-air missile launching system. It was designed to meet high tactical and operating shock levels. It is mixed convection cooled and conduction cooled with integrated conduction-cooled power supply and electronic keypad.

FULLY INTEGRATED AIRBORNE VIDEO PROCESSOR SYSTEM

This enclosure system was designed to enable the use of multiple video processing cards in a high-altitude airborne environment. It is FAA certified to airborne shock, vibration, and environmental requirements.

An intelligent temperature control system maintains internal temperatures above 0ºC when operating in a –15ºC environment, with minimal impact on the power budget. The intelligent temperature control and fan speed control also have remote monitoring options. An internal heater and control system allows operation of integrated COTS content below rated minimum operating temperatures.

Redundant power supplies increase system reliability and the system is delivered fully integrated with CPU cards, carrier cards, and multiple video and fiber optic PMC and IP modules
