DDC Announces Windows Server® 2003 and Vista® Support for 1553 PCI Card

11 March 2009

Data Device Corporation (DDC) has introduced an updated software development kit (SDK) for MIL-STD-1553 data bus applications that supports Windows Server® 2003 and Windows Vista® for use with the MIL-STD-1553 BU-65569i PCI card. DDC’s SDK allows users to develop a 'C' source code to simulate, monitor or troubleshoot 1553 data buses simultaneously or independently. This SDK allows you to quickly integrate DDC’s MIL-STD-1553 PCI card into your 'C' code applications. The easy-to-use high-level functions abstract all low-level hardware accesses and memory allocation so that specific hardware knowledge is not required.

"The addition of Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista support for DDC’s BU-65569i PCI card is part of DDC’s continued commitment to software updates and performance improvements for MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429 products," said Mike Hegarty, DDC’s MIL-STD-1553 marketing manager.

DDC is an international leader in high-reliability data networking interface solutions (MIL-STD-1553 / ARINC 429 / fibre channel), and cards and components for military and commercial aerospace applications, utilized in both laboratory simulation and in-flight environments.

DDC’s wide span of technology encompasses multi-protocol (1553/429) and USB data bus interfaces, fibre channel network access controllers, Synchro/Resolver/LVDT converters, and solid state power controllers and motor drives. The company's design and manufacturing facility is located in Bohemia, New York.
