COMMERCIAL AND MILITARY QUALIFIED VALVE-REGULATED LEAD-ACID (VRLA) BATTERIES

EnerSys manufactures a greater range of commercial and MIL qualified, valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries than any other single manufacturer. Our Hawker, VHB, Chloride, Cyclon, PowerSafe, DataSafe and Genesis brands offer an ideal energy solution to markets as diverse as telecommunications, IT, uninterruptible power supplies, utilities and switchgear, security, emergency lighting and general electronic systems. The Hawker pure lead VRLA batteries are specifically designed for the maintenance free environment.

Modern aircraft have such immense and varied energy requirements. It takes EnerSys batteries to meet them all. Proven airworthiness, aerobatic operation, virtually maintenance free, higher energy content - whatever the specification, EnerSys can fulfill it, or come up with an existing or new battery.

HAWKER SEALED AIRCRAFT BATTERY

Hawker has been a leading name in aircraft batteries for over 40 years and many operators (civil and military) rely on Hawker batteries. The Hawker sealed aircraft battery has been designed for high power and long life, thereby meeting a wide variety of civil and military requirements.

Our unique pure lead grids and recombination technology ensure long shelf life and only a voltage check is normally required before fitting to the aircraft.

All Hawker's aviation battery products are classified as non-hazardous and unrestricted for land, sea or air transportation when correctly packed. This battery needs no maintenance, has no memory effect and doesn't suffer from fading.

Depending on application, operation and use, the battery can be up to a five year fit and forget. Maintenance, when required, is simple and quick – only visual inspection and a capacity test are needed. Thus a dedicated lead acid battery shop is not essential, as the batteries can be serviced in a Ni-Cd shop.

Hawker batteries are dispatched from the factory fully charged, with an inspection-free storage life of two years when stored at or under 25°C. They are completely sealed and maintenance free, require no vents or thermal sensors and are easily commissioned, normally consisting of only a simple voltage check. The batteries will recover from deep discharge and pure lead grids ensure long life.
