SED is a drive with a circuit built into the disk drive controller chip that encrypts all data to the storage media and decrypts all the data from the media automatically. Memoright GTR II/GTR 2S(AES256) supports security erase and destroy functions and satisfies all military standards under the "MIL-STD-810F", which is the standard test method approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the US Department of Defense (DoD).
