ThalesRaytheonSystems - Command and Control Systems

ThalesRaytheonSystems is an international company specialising in air defence systems and a global leader of air operation command and control systems, and 3-D air-defence, battlefield and counter-battery radars. ThalesRaytheonSystems is equally owned by Raytheon and Thales.

SCCOA: FRENCH AIR OPERATIONS COMMAND AND CONTROL SYSTEM

The SCCOA air operations command and control system meets all air force needs in air operations. It is a fixed structure formed by four Detection and Control Centres (CDC) in STRIDA, an Air Operations Conducting and Command Centre (CCOA) in Taverny, 30 air bases, and simulation and training centres.

A mobile component (C3M) entirely deployable in the field can reinforce the fixed system, provide support to force projection into outside operation theatres, or interoperate through datalink-16 capability.

NATO AIR COMMAND AND CONTROL SYSTEM

ThalesRaytheonSystems is the prime contractor for NATO's Air Command and Control System Level Of Capability 1 (ACCS LOC1). ACCS LOC1 sets new standards of integration for air operations in Europe, providing a single, integrated approach to planning, tasking, monitoring and mission execution.

A fully deployable system, ACCS will support any NATO out-of-area operation. The deployable version of ACCS can be used for combined / joint taskforce operations, peacekeeping, crisis operations and supporting NATO response forces, as well as exercises, support and training missions.

FLORAKO: SWISS AIR DEFENCE AND AIRSPACE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The air defence and airspace management system for the Swiss Air Force, Florako is a seven-phase programme. Features include:

  • TRS awarded for phases I – VII
  • Integrates real-time data with sensors and reconnaissance assets for decision making
  • FLORAKO datalink-16 implementation awarded under phase VII in June 2005

USA BATTLE CONTROL SYSTEM

Our next-generation battle control system provides:

  • A homeland defence system for the US Air Force / NORAD (North American Aerospace Defence Command)
  • Surveillance and control of US and Canada airspace
  • Assessment and warning of internal and external airspace spiral development

It can integrate with more than 200 radars and 10,000 tracks.

SENTRY™ MULTI-PURPOSE AIR OPERATIONS C2 SYSTEM

The Sentry multi-purpose air operations C2 system provides protection against precision-guided weapons, stealth manned and unmanned aircraft, ballistic and cruise missiles and non-traditional attack corridors. Built to international datalink standards for interoperability with all airborne, land based, and naval systems and sensors, Sentry is built from the ground up to integrate the planning, sensing, and execution functions.

SKYVIEW AIR OPERATIONS C2 SYSTEM

The SkyView air command and control solution is designed to meet requirements related to modern ground-based air defence systems at execution level in a network-enabled environment.

It possesses interoperable, scalable and seamless war-fighting capabilities able to cope with fast decision cycles for in-country and expeditionary operations (e.g. time critical / sensitive targeting, and effect-based operations). Open and service-oriented architecture achieves system flexibility irrespective of operational deployments to reduce evolution and maintenance costs.

SURVEILLANCE AND AIR OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

SkyView provides users with full capabilities for surveillance and air operations management and focuses primarily on real-time information by integrating all relevant command orders (e.g. ATO, ACO and MISREP) in order to maintain consistency and synchrony with planned operations.

To provide operators with an accurate and common operating picture, SkyView integrates information from the available sources, such as sensor systems (active and passive, civil and military, ground and airborne radars) and tactical datalinks. Based on the obtained operating picture, SkyView provides all the required capabilities to fulfil air sovereignty and air policing missions such as threat evaluation, weapons trial and assignment aids, air mission control and air traffic control capabilities as well as sophisticated civil-military coordination features.

SkyView also includes extended air defence capabilities to deal with threats such as cruise missiles, unmanned air vehicles and ballistic missiles. SkyView is a fully scalable and customisable solution that can be deployed as a global turnkey solution or partly deployed as an add-on for a legacy system.

SkyView provides the following operational and transverse capabilities:

  • Ground and radio communications
  • Operator profiles management and related security access rules
  • Data recording, reduction and replay
  • System monitoring and control
