EMTEQ Secures STC for Artex C406-N ELT Installation on C9

EMTEQ has been issued Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) ST03481AT for the Artex C406-N Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) installation on C9s. The C9 kit is a turn-key installation including Artex ELT equipment plus EMTEQ wiring and mechanical support structures.
The C9 Artex ELT STC, installed on a US military operator's aircraft, includes a navigational interface which incorporates latitude/longitude information from the aircraft's navigation system in the outgoing message. Location accuracy is greatly increased by inserting the position data into the message.
With nearly 100 STCs for Boeing, Airbus, McDonnell Douglas, Lockheed Martin and many other airframe manufacturers, EMTEQ's staff engineers, DERs, DARs, DMIRs and PMA specialists are highly experienced at coordinating and designing new STCs, customizing existing STCs and securing local certification authority approvals.
