TACO Antenna Releases New Ground Plane Design for Helical Antennas

02 March 2010

TACO Antenna, a division of leading antenna manufacturer Wade Antenna, has released a new ground plane design on our full line of helical antennas. This will allow for much faster and easier installation.

This new design does not require any tools to fasten the two-piece ground plane to the antenna. New extension rods swivel into place without the use of any bolts. These improvements allow you to attach the ground plane even after you have mounted the antenna.

"TACO Antenna prides itself on listening to its customers," says Ric Murphy, president and CEO of TACO Antenna. "This new ground plane design simplifies the antenna installation, saving valuable time for our system integrators."

These high-gain, robust broadband antennas range in frequency from 108-520MHz. There is no change to performance or durability and TACO continues to offer a three-year warranty.

Our Helical Antennas are used by all branches of the US military and various defence contractors worldwide. Currently deployed in locations such as Singapore, the UK, Greece and Alaska, the antennas are proving their ability to operate in various weather conditions.

TACO Antenna will be displaying this new helical antenna at Satellite 2010, taking place 15-18 March at Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, US. You can find our exhibit at booth #2017.
